First to Fifth African Geothermal Conference (ARGeo C1, C2, C3, C4 and C5 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Entebbe, Uganda, Nairobi, Kenya and Arusha, Tanzania:

The ARGeo conferences were organized by Geological Surveys and related ministries of the host country under the patronage of UNEP-funded ARGeo Programme. They provided a forum for the exchange of information on the East African geothermal resources and on all aspects of their exploration and development including studies, field and conversion technology, power plant design and construction, environmental considerations, financial, marketing and operational aspects. BGR was part of steering committee of ARGeo C4 and C5  Conference.
