Web Services

The thematic geodata of BGR are also provided as Web Service. Currently, there are several Web Map Services (WMS) and a Catalogue Service Web (CSW) available. The following services can be used free of charge, when indicating the source.

All BGR webservices are described with metadata in the Produktcenter
https://produktcenter.bgr.de

Catalogue Service Web (CSW)

A WMS allows direct access to the thematic geodata of BGR. Therefore, you need a WMS compatible program like Google Earth or GIS. On the product list of Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) you can find WMS compatible programs.

With the integration of our Catalogue Service in your portal, e.g. for use in spatial data infrastructures, you can search in our Catalogue for relevant records.

INSPIRE services

All INSPIRE identified products are available in various formats via atom feeds.

Using webservices

In order to use WMS you will need a suitable tool, according to the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC).

Using atom feeds

You can subscribe for atom feeds by adding it to the bookmarks in your browser. In addition there are FeedReader which automatically inform you about news.
