Petroleum Geological Atlas of the Southern Permian Basin Area (SPBA Atlas)
Begin of project: January 1, 2005
End of project: April 30, 2010
Status of project: April 30, 2010
The main goal of this international project was the compilation of geological information on the Southern Permian Basin Area (subsurface between eastern England and Poland) in order to stimulate the petroleum E&P industry to continue their activities in this mature basin. The project work was carried out in cooperation with the British Geological Survey (BGS), the Geological Survey of the Netherlands (TNO), the Geological Survey of Belgium (GSB), the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS), the Polish Geological Institute – National Research Institute (PGI), and support of E&P companies.
More detailed information are available on the web pages of the project coordinator TNO: „The Southern Permian Basin Atlas (SPBA) project” and "Petroleum geological atlas of the southern permian basin area -Overview SPB-atlas project-organisation and results".
