German IMS stations

The Federal Republic of Germany operates 5 stations as part of the IMS, whereby BGR is responsible for operating two seismic arrays (GERES and SNAA) and two infrasound stations (I26DE and I27DE) – one of each in Germany and in the Antarctic. The Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS) is responsible for the fifth station (RN33) which measures radionuclides in the air and is located in the southern Black Forest.
