Maps published within the WHYMAP project now available as vector data

During the past 12 years, BGR and the UNESCO International Hydrological Programme (IHP) together with numerous partners, have published five world maps related to the topic of groundwater within the World-wide Hydrogeological Mapping and Assessment Programme (WHYMAP). According to UNESCO's attempt to promote and support open access to scientific information, the vector data of the hydrogeological world maps listed below are now freely available to the public:

The vector data are ready for downlaod in shapefile format from BGR's Product Center. In addition, the hydrogeological world maps can be displayed via the WHYMAP Viewer.
