Map of groundwater bodies
Map showing the polygons of groundwater bodies delivered in 2010 by 19 European member states and Switzerland supplemented by data of 6 further member states originating from a gap analysis in 2008. The quantity of groundwater bodies reported by member states varies substantially between 20 by Lithuania respectively Latvia and 3616 by Finland. All in all, about 25,000 groundwater bodies have been delivered, of which 12,000 date from 2010.
