Internship
Compulsory internship as part of studies, apprenticeship, further education programme
If you would like to gain valuable practical experience as part of your studies, training or further education programme, you can do an internship at BGR. The prerequisite for this is that the internship is prescribed in the examination or study regulations (compulsory internship). No remuneration or expense allowance is paid for the internship.
During the internship, BGR offers you the opportunity to get to know the organisation of the federal authority and its tasks and to gain deeper practical insights into what you have learned in your respective field of studies.

Final thesis
The final thesis is one of the most important pieces of work in a degree programme and should provide interesting insights. Many students therefore wish to combine the theoretical knowledge from their studies with a more practical approach in their Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis. This can be achieved if the thesis is written in cooperation with a company or institution. BGR offers you the opportunity to write your final thesis here while establishing contacts with experts.
Unfortunately, no remuneration can be granted for writing your thesis on site. During your time at BGR, you will benefit from a direct link to professional practice and you will be able to research and address specific projects, problems and issues in your thesis. You will receive relevant information at first hand and can consult and network with our experts.

Career opportunities after graduation
After successfully graduating from university with a Master’s, Bachelor’s or an equivalent degree, BGR offers you career opportunities in subjects such as business administration, law, chemistry, cartography, geosciences, economics and many more.
BGR regularly advertises jobs for scientific, technical and administrative staff. Scientific staff has the option to gain a scientific qualification (doctorate or postdoctoral qualification) while on the job.
