Diversity
We promote diversity and an open and inclusive organisation culture. At BGR, people of all nationalities are welcome – regardless of their origin, their gender, their religion or philosophy of life, their abilities, their age or their sexual identity.
BGR is a signatory of the diversity charter
We have signed the diversity charter (Charta der Vielfalt) for the promotion of a diverse working environment. The Charta der Vielfalt is a corporate initiative that aims to promote diversity in economy and society. By signing the charter, we have committed to fostering diversity and a respectful treatment of all employees, customers and citizens – regardless of their gender and gender identity, nationality, age, religion, philosophy, physical and mental abilities, sexual orientation and origin.
Diversity at BGR
BGR is committed to a diverse, respectful and unbiased working environment. All employees should receive the same opportunities and the same appreciation – regardless of age, nationality, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical and mental abilities, religion, philosophy and cultural and social background.
We want BGR employees to reflect the diversity of our society and we promote a working culture that is characterised by respect, openness and individual strengths.
The following points are especially important for us:
- The equality of women and men is a given for us. In order to ensure equal rights and opportunities for all women and men at BGR, we have an equal opportunity commissioner who also serves as a trustworthy contact person.
- We are committed to strengthening inclusion and give preferential consideration to applications from people with severe disabilities or their equals when advertising job vacancies. In order to protect the interests of applicants and employees with severe disabilities or their equals, BGR has a representative body for disabled employees.
- BGR is a diverse employer. Every day, employees with a wide variety of nationalities and backgrounds work together successfully. To ensure that this remains the case and that BGR further increases its diversity, we explicitly welcome applications from people of all nationalities and from people with migration backgrounds.
Employees with diverse stories, experiences and perspectives enrich the personal interaction and make sure that we, as a government body, can find versatile approaches and solutions to job-related questions. We are committed to promoting diversity at BGR and look forward to having your individual strengths enrich our team.
