The Map of the Organic Substance Contents in Topsoils shows the results of the report "Organic substance contents in topsoils in Germany"; BGR Archive, No. 0127036 in a map.
Median values of the organic substance contents of the respective layers are classified in such a way that the classes h2-h5 according to the Soil Survey Guidelines (KA5) were further differentiated using half the class widths. This means that the content classes basically remain within the limits of KA5 and at the same time provide a differentiated picture, especially in the classes with lower contents. The classes on which the humus map is based can be found in table 15 of the above-mentioned report.
Version 2.0 is based on the Digital Topographical Map 1 : 1,000,000 (DTK1000-V) of the Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy, which was modified in parts by BGR.
