Thematic evaluations on soil protection and soil function assessment are collected and documented in printed form in the ‘Method documentation soil science - evaluation methods for assessing the sensit ivity and resilience of soils’
The methods and rules of this documentation as well as the updates and extensions of the Soil Working Group are digitally stored and made publicly available in the MethodsWiki Soil Science of BGR. The technical possibilities of wiki technology make the documentation easy to use.
The soil data evaluation procedures of the methodical database of the Soil Information System (FISBo BGR) are also based on the above-mentioned documented methods. Selected methods have been programmed for for application to the spatial data (e.g. BUEK1000) in FISBo BGR.
The documentation of the partially adapted and for additional methods is also done in the MethodsWiki Soil Science. However, they are currently only accessible to authorised users. The MethodsWiki Soil Science is used for internal documentation, quality assurance and knowledge management of the FISBo BGR method database.
